Drecom (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) will be holding a closed beta test for Wizardry Variants Daphne, the latest smartphone game in the Wizardry series. With this, the call for participants began today, September 22, 2023.

Estimated completion time is over 10 hours! A high-volume close beta test is being held!

Wizardry Variants Daphne is the latest title in the beloved Wizardry series, often referred to as the origin of RPGs, and is currently in release development. A closed beta test is being conducted prior to the official release. The closed beta test is scheduled to last for about 10 days and will allow users to play through the first chapter. The main story through first chapter is expected to take 15-20 hours to complete. The entire game, including sub-quests that occur as the story progresses, is expected to take more than 20 hours to complete. We think that this is enough to give a sense of the full breadth and charm of Wizardry Variants Daphne. We will continue to improve the quality of the game based on the opinions and feedback from the test participants.

<How to play>
The game follows an old-school 3D dungeon RPG play cycle, with players delving deeper into dungeons called Abysses seeking battle and treasure while advancing their characters and gathering supplies in town.
The player takes command in battle, based upon a party of up to six characters, through which they make full use of spells and skills to formulate the ultimate strategy.

PC version (Steam) also in development!

A PC version (Steam) of Wizardry Variants Daphne is being developed in parallel with the smartphone app version. The PC version is scheduled for release after the app version. The app and PC (Steam) versions are being developed to use the same game account so players can follow their adventures on either device. Details of the PC (Steam) version will also be announced via official social media channels so follow them to get the latest information.
